Over the River
Photographers always find new opportunities whenever a new building is completed. 150 North Riverside Plaza provides many opportunities given the elevated public space in back of the building and the promenade running along the Chicago River. Once it opens, the Starbucks may also offer some interesting opportunities, but that will depend on the depth of the outlet.
The public space is fantastic, particularly because it abuts the raised 'L' track, so rather than shooting up from ground level, it now is possible to capture a train traveling over the Lake Street Bridge at train level. In the background, the curved glass skyscraper at 333 Wacker Drive is visible, with buildings reflected in its tinted windows. It was in that building that Ferris Bueller's father had an office.
You gotta love the compression that 120mm lens achieves.
