All in Protest
Once again, I was on 6th Avenue in New York City’s Greenwich Village for the annual Village Halloween Parade, where over one million spectators and participants joined me, everyone of us seeking a brief respite from the two-year lead-up to next Tuesday’s presidential election. Here are my thoughts about and observations from the festive evening.

Last week I made the pilgrimage to Columbia University, which is the epicenter of pro-Palestinian student protests. Here are my thoughts about and images from the two days I spent on campus and in the surrounding streets.
On February 10, 2024, I attended what appeared to be a rather anodyne pro-Palestinian demonstration in Brooklyn. I left for about half an hour. When I returned, I encountered a number of demonstrators who had been detained by the police.

Earlier this week I was in Washington, D.C. covering the March for Israel, which drew over 290,000 people from across the country. Here are my thoughts about and photographs from the day.
I spent Saturday at a rally outside the Brooklyn Museum, followed by a march that shut down the Brooklyn Bridge. By far the most newsworthy aspect of the day was the Hassidic Jews who marched with the Palestinian Community because the they believe Israel is in the wrong. Here are my thoughts about what was a very tiring day, as well as the images I captured.
