Halloween rolled around this week. I was in New York City for the 49th Annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. While in Washington, D.C. this past week, I stumbled upon several Uyghur activists across the street from the White House. Four of the demonstrators had begun a hunger strike two days earlier. This past Thursday, I headed to Indianapolis for the protests that would inevitably arise as the Indiana Legislature considered a ban on abortion. The protests were not as large as I had expected.
