A group calling itself #50501 called for nationwide demonstrations against the Trump Administration and Elon Musk on Presidents’ Day. About 300 people assembled in Chicago’s Millennium Park for a rally, before marching to Trump Tower, where they met up with another group that held a demonstration in Chicago’s Federal Plaza. Here are my thoughts about and images from what was a relatively short demonstration on a very cold day.

On Presidents’ Day, I attended what might best be described as a ‘play group” pro-Palestinian rally. The toddlers, elementary students, and high schoolers met in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, appropriately under the Honest Abe’s watchful eye, to show their support for the Palestinian People. Here are my thoughts about and images from the rally.
