Cubs fans who want to be memorialized as the die-hard can have their remains placed in one of the niches on the authentic bleacher brick wall at Bohemian National Cemetery on Chicago’s northwest side. I paid the wall a visit to today. Here are my thoughts and images.

The Cubs will not be repeating this year thanks to a powerful LA Dodger team, but that is not the only tragedy befalling Wrigleyville, Cubs fans, and late night drunks at bar time. Pick your poison, so to speak. I decided early on that I wanted the image depicted in the cover photograph, but that presents a problem. A photographer's worst nightmare is being relegated to a fixed position. I always say that when photographing in a club or concert hall. By picking this location, I did not have the opportunity to photograph the rally in Grant Park, the parade stepping off at Wrigley Field, or the chaos at the AMTRAK station. Only a media outlet like the Chicago Tribune has the number of photographers to cover all the bases, so to speak.
This ad raises truth-in-advertising issues: The Cubs are playing the Mets today, but the sentiment is nice nevertheless. As of late, I have been thinking about two-level perspective, Kinda fun.
