On my way to the gym and on my way back, I stopped at City Hall because the City Council was considering a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the war between Hamas and Israel. The lobby was filled with pro-Palestinian demonstrators awaiting the results of the vote. Here are my thoughts about and photographs from the demonstration.

Pictured is a sculpture that adjourns the City and County Building. Analogous to Certs--Two Mints In One--the Cook County Main Administration building is combined with Chicago's City Hall in an 11-story, Greek-styled building designed by Chicago architectural powerhouse Holabird & Root.
