Bridges
What started as a cloudy Sunday afternoon turned into glare. Not necessarily a bad thing. The new London House Hotel opened about ten days ago. The hotel has a three-level rooftop. One level indoors (LH on 21), one level exposed (LH on 22), and the cupola (LH on 23), which is reserved for private events.
LH on 22 was already jammed packed with stylishly dressed couples. Most were sipping cocktails, wine or beer. Although there is food service, it was between lunch and dinner when I arrived, so I didn't get a chance to see the offerings.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful: Clean lines, interesting ceiling fixtures (cubes of rods), and a beautiful bar in the lobby (2nd floor). Donald Trump must be going nuts. The view from LH on 22 far surpasses the view from the outdoor bar on 16th floor terrace of the Trump Tower.
