Projections
To commemorate the centennial of Chicago's Navy Pier, the City replaced the Ferris Wheel on Navy Pier in May 2016. It opened to the public on May 27, 2016. On that fateful day, the wheel lost power for about 20 minutes, stranding somewhere around 100 riders.
The new wheel was manufactured bye Dutch Wheels, located in Vlodrop, Netherlands. It is 196 feet high, with 42 gondolas.
