Sunset
When I left the house today, I was headed to LaSalle Street, just north of the Chicago River, to get make a photograph of the Board of Trade on the south end of LaSalle. Much to my dismay, it isn't lit on Sundays, at least when I was in position. I had to settle for a classic river shot looking east.
I've always admired the Loews building that was completed in 2015. The first 14 floors of this Mies-inspired building is occupied by the hotel. The remaining floors house apartments. Today, the glass was particularly colorful as the sun set and a large cloud floated just behind the building.
I am having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the cold. The thermometers on bank buildings were reading an even 32F. In another month, that will feel like a warm-spell.
