Homeward
The priority of the restaurant we ate this evening gave us a table that seats five. I asked why. She told me the restaurant would be empty tonight: Parisians don't like it when it is wet and cold. It had just started to drizzle, and when the sun goes down, the temperature really drops. Fortunately, a number of diners came in while we were eating, but the place was not packed. As we headed back to the Marais, the streets were noticeably empty unlike every other night.
The photograph is quite a contrast with the series in blue, particularly because this photograph was made just 90 minutes later.
And how do I know the man was homeward bound? Several doors down he turned, opened a door, and headed into an apartment.
