Decapitated

Bad weather usually enhances a photograph of an iconic structure.  This photograph was shot from the Printemps Department Store's 9th floor rooftop on a foggy, but somewhat balmy Sunday the week before Christmas.  The store was built on this site in 1865, with the store undergoing successive waves of renovation.  Today, the interior resembles Bloomingdales, with lots of makeup and perfume on sale on the ground floor.

We took advantage of the rooftop restaurant, ordering pastries and fruit for lunch, with my usual bottle of Coca-Cola.
